Is there a reason that your smoke stack is located on the same end of the unit as the smoke box? Most that I have seen have the stack on the end opposite the box.

Yes Sir, thats because the heat drafts from the firebox to the other end and back before it gets out the smokestack. Thats where the nickname reverse flow comes from. There is some good reading about this design in our website content. Thanks for Looking at Lang! Hope to serve you one up soon.
