When I picked my new 84 Deluxe Char Grill back in June of 08, I was surprised and a little disappointed with the new design as the web site still had the old style on it, but accepted forward progress. We got home (Watkins Glen NY) and seasoned both the char grill and the smoker for five hours. The char grill stayed at 350* for seven hours on one 20# bag of charcoal ,WOW. We didn’t have time for a test drive as we had a family reunion to do for a client. We cooked 38 slabs of St Louis ribs on the smoker at once and 150 pc. of chicken on the char grill (not at once) and three pan of beans in the warmer box! Everything came out unbelievable. The client booked me for the next year on the spot after eating the meal. We have since cooked twenty one events on the 84 since that day. I can’t believe that every time we cook on it, it just amazes me, WOW!!! Now it is winter and a cold one and a client wanted me to cook a company Christmas party, I was hesitant at first but agreed. The day started out at 5 degrees when my son and I started the fire! The cooker held heat all day as we cooked 10 8lb pork butts and 25 slabs of rib and three pan of beans. I will never doubt Ben Lang’s designs again! I can’t thank you enough for such a fine piece of cooking wonder!! And we love the new design now!
