Steam Cleaning – Lang Smoking Saturday Tips

Steam Cleaning and “Smoke Cure” your Lang BBQ Smoker Cooker

Learn how to steam clean your Lang BBQ Smoker after every cooking session in order to get the best smoky flavor possible

Steam cleaning for your Lang BBQ Smoker  is an easy, but important process.

You can improve your cooking quality drastically by following these steps:

  1. Heat up your smoker cooker to a temperature of 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. When temperature gauge reaches 300 degrees open the smoker cooker door and spray/mist water inside on every surface with a water hose (This is the steaming process).
  3. The next step will be to let the fire re-heat to smoker cooker to 300 degrees Fahrenheit again, and repeat the spray/mist process (remember to Steam clean the entire cooking area).
  4. After that, add a large piece of split wood and close the chimney damper to 45 degrees and the fire box vents so they will be almost closed, this will let the Smoker Cooker to “smoke cure” itself and will create a hardwood smoky glaze.

*It is recommended to repeat this process after each and every cooking session!
