The 2012 season of BBQ Pitmasters aired on Destination America from May 30th through July 1st. The six episodes were a great way to see barbecue chefs compete and watch them cook different types of meats. Each episode had 3 chefs competing on two meats – usually one was cooked low and slow on a smoker cooker and the other high and fast on a grill.
The three judges, Aaron Franklin, Tuffy Stone and Myron Mixon judged blindly which made the televised cooking competition quite interesting to watch.
